Recently Judy and I went over to a home that someone wanted to sell as a Short Sale. Judy looked up the county records to get the details of the property and finds that someone else owns the property as of March 2, 2010 a Quick Claim deed was recorded on the property.
At our meeting with the person we find out that someone had talked this person into signing a Quick Claim Deed AND a Power of Attorney on the property!! In the meantime the person was still struggling keeping his payments current on the home that he NO longer owned! All this started with this person wanting to get a Loan Modification!! PLUS they gave these scammers thousands of dollars to process the loan modification that NEVER happened!!
